Regarding 11 Meter
Citizen Band
Working DX on this band since the 70"s starting with callsing Charlie Oskar :-), and I must say its still fun now even when I got all band license, its just something different than Ham bands, in many ways better and in some less so good, a lot of old timers on Ham have a saying, *The qrm are from 11 meter pirates*, Belive me that is not true!,off cause we cant close our eyes that it may be one or two that behave badley on Hambands, but the major qrm came from the ham society them self that behave like children sometimes, over all the 11 meter are a great DX starting band, where it allow new young radio interested peopel become really good Ham operators, a lot of 11meter clubs have many license ham operators like AC AT SD ++ many more that help new DX beginners to behave correct on air, and true most of the new license Hams nowadays have or had a connection to 11 meter DX band ( 27.430-27.950mhz ssb)
The band are well
organised and have Dxpeditions and contest as good as any ham bands. My hopes
are for this great band that HAM world in some way understand the potentional of
this band and use it as an incoming portal for young Radio interested that in
future will maybe become good Amateur Radio operators, ARRL and the rest of HAM
world should work in some way with the respected 11 meter clubs,
its my believe after 30 years of experience on 11 meter and Ham radio bands .
The real pirate bands like 45meter 21meter ect etc is
very bad! I strongly are agains this real pirate bands,
I'am now member in the fine AC group
as 21AC101
